Gloucester Crime Prevention Panel (CPP for short) was formed in 1982 and consists of a small group of public minded volunteers who promote the adage that:

'Prevention is better than cure'. Especially in the matter of crime.

Gloucester Crime Prevention Panel welcome 'SMARTWATER' to the City.

Gloucester Crime Prevention Panel are in full support of the Crime & Disorder Reduction Partnership (CDRP)and the Gloucester Crime Reduction Officers as they role out Smartwater across the City.
Smartwater is a property marking gel that has a unique chemical formula, similar to DNA. When applied to property it drys quickly and is a permanent record of the owner of that property. It is supplied in a small vial which is enough to mark all the valuable items in a home including such things as bikes and garden equipment. It does not rub off and when exposed to UV light it glows a yellow/green.
The packs are available through the police at a cost of £15.00, a substantial saving on buying direct from the manufacturer.
